THE LAND OF GODS

Been in love with the culture and the gentleness of the Balinese, Patrice Delmotte have the opportunity to build DEA villas a complex of four villas in Bali where he spends a lot of good times. He produces five book photos not really travel guide, but rather a photographic promenade to the exposure and discovery of some beliefs, ceremonies and rituals of Bali. They will bring to you the gentle aroma of the incense, the music of the gamelan, the dances, the smiles and gestures of friendship that Balinese are so proud to offer you, the softness of the rice terrace, the incredible colors of the tropical sunset and the heritage of the Aga tribe, the oldest one in Bali. Those photographic promenades will cover different photography styles like: documentary, architectural photography, cityscape photography, landscape photography, snapshot and street photography.

DANCING FOR THE GODS

This book is not a travel guide, but rather a photographic voyage at the discovery of a few Balinese dances; in this country where dance and music are gifts for the gods.

The Balinese liturgy appears by the dance. This very expressive ancient art goes from the intensity of a look up to the delicate and angular position of the hands. The flamboyant choreographies illustrate the richness of Balinese styles that are often related to Hindu rituals. So dazzling dramas where the witch "Rangda" confronts the great beast "Barong" can rub shoulders with the sacred dances of the "Sanghyang Dedari" where "Hyang" spirits possess the dancers in trance.

.This series of 3 three books is a photographic journey to Cambodia where you will rediscover the incredible genius of Khmer architecture, and the beauty of the Cambodian people. We will travel to the 9th century with the Preah Ko Temple which is well known for the beauty and intricacy of its carvings; to the 12th century with the splendor of the Angkor Wat Temples; up to the present time in villages where the lifestyle might be quite similar to that of the ancient Khmer.
In this book you will find the pictures of the famous temples of Preah Ko, Bakong, Lolei, Koh ker, Prasat Balang, Prasat Kraham, Prasat Thom, Prasat Prang, Prasat Pram, Prasat Neang Khmao, Pre Rup, Srah Srang, Banteay Srei and Angkor Wat.
